It's John. It's Emily. And a little later, I'm going to be speaking to Bernie Sanders.

But probably a good place to start is what is the latest in the race to become the Republican nominee,

which we still know that Donald Trump is the runaway favourite.

But this weekend, they are voting in South Carolina,

which is where Nikki Haley used to be the governor.

And we can't work yesterday with some excitement. Well, sort of. I woke up at 5 o'clock, little text from my up all night

Canadian son saying Nikki Haley's about to give a press conference. And I just assumed you'd have

jet lag. I did. And sure enough, there we were, chatting away quite happily,

digitally at 5am, thinking, is this game to be the moment? I'm glad you clarified the digitally.

Yes, I mean, you know, what can I say? We thought it might be a moment. All the sort of hairs were raised, weren't they? This is going to be the moment when Nikki Haley pulls out of the race.

And yet, she actually turned it into probably the best press conference

that she's had for a while. Some of you, perhaps a few of you in the media, came here today

to see if I'm dropping out of the race. Well, I'm not.
