Summary

Is Richard Allen truly guilty, or are there too many gaps in the case for comfort? In this episode of *Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski*, former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins to dissect the twists in the prosecution's case against Allen in the infamous Delphi murder trial. Confessions given under bizarre circumstances, including Allen allegedly eating pages of the Bible and acting erratically, raise questions about his mental state and the validity of his statements. On top of that, conflicting timelines and questionable evidence, like a stray bullet that might not even connect to Allen, make the case feel like a maze of doubts and accusations. Are we watching the unraveling of a solid case, or are these defense strategies merely smoke and mirrors?

And I got to say personally, it's a little more eventful and exciting than I was planning for.

Granted, we can't see inside the courtroom or here inside the courtroom, but we have a lot of eyes and ears in the courtroom reporting on it every single day.

Here we are.

1:00.7

We've seen a lot of the prosecution's case and a lot of holes being dug into the prosecution's case against Richard Allen.

1:08.1

What's been your reaction thus far to what we've seen?

1:12.0

You know, I was a little surprised that the prosecution waited this long to start talking about

1:17.7

the alleged confessions. You know, that's what I thought was sort of their lynch been in the

1:21.7

case. And it took them kind of three weeks to get there. But now we're there and we're hearing

1:26.5

about what Richard Allen allegedly said,

1:28.5

including, wow, in custody. And I think that that is sort of, you know, certainly affecting how

1:34.3

people are thinking about the case and could be a huge problem for the defense.

1:39.1

Is it, though, because he's confessing to this while eating pages from the Bible and feces and running into walls with his head first.

And then, hey, I killed the girls. I'm ready to talk about it. Here's what I did. And I mean, I read as best I could, you know, what some reporters have made a transcript of what he said.
