Martha, thank you for that question. There are a number of passages in the Bible, in particular in the Old Testament, that depict Satan as this accuser. I think of Job chapter 1, for example,

Job chapters 1 and 2, actually, where the evil one, Satan comes before the Lord and brings Job up

and accuses him, essentially. I also think of Zechariah, one of the minor prophets in Zechariah chapter 3,
