Summary

A viral tweet made its way into the Dads Facebook group, so the dudes bring it onto the show to discuss. How hard is it to be a boy these days, and are folks like Andrew Tate successful just because they're swooping in to offer a different message than "boys are bad"?

0:38.7

0:43.0

dads. Hey, how's your week been, guys? Good? I'm glad you. Go ahead, Tom. I woke up yesterday and my arm hurt a little. A little sore. I took some of leave. Jesus Christ, fine now. Poor Tom. So this is like a fucking story. I was telling this to Cecil and he was laughing.

1:11.1

He's like, dude, it's only fucking you that could possibly have this happen. So two weeks ago, I woke up, you know, like you sometimes do with like a neckache. Like, you know, slept on my neck funny. Sure. Every single day for me. Yeah. Yeah. Except like. But not bad. Not as bad. I'm not trying to want up you.

1:25.4

Not as bad as this.

1:26.2

No, no, no, no, I get it.

1:27.1

But, like, here's the thing is, like,

1:28.2

I didn't think too much of it,

1:29.4

except for that it was like,

1:30.3

I had these, No, no, no, no, I get it. But, like, here's the thing is, like, I didn't think too much of it except for that it was like I had these like intense muscle cramps all through like my traps, my lats, my shoulder. It was just like my whole right side was just cramped like it's never been cramped before. So I was like, oh, this sucks. I did all the things you usually do, you know, like I got out like the fucking massagey thing.

1:49.7

I scheduled a professional massage. I sat in my sauna to like let some heat kind of warm it out,

1:53.9

you know, all that stuff. And over the course of like a week and a half, the muscles started to relax, but this like fucking nerve pain started to settle in. And so what I think has happened,

2:00.4

I just got back from my orthopedic guy,

2:02.4

what I think has happened is that I had muscle cramps so severe that they pulled my vertebra

2:07.8

slightly out of joint and I slipped her herniated a fucking disc in my neck. So now I've got a

2:13.5

herniated disc in my neck and I got to get surgery because I slept wrong because I'm an old man piece of shit. Slept wrong plus the 40 years of just pure trauma to your neck. That's true, right. You don't know what a human body that consumes water on a regular basis might have done in that. Oh, God damn it. It's where the water goes, actually. It goes right into the disk space. Yeah, it's like oil, lube. I like that your body is literally trying to kill you the way Scorpion killed himself in the Mortal Kombat movie. He killed himself? I don't remember that. Yeah, he turns his head all the way around. What? I got to watch that again. It was good.
