Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Thanks to a very generous couple, Sandy and I

are spending a week together in Captiva, Florida.

I offer this rosary for their intentions and for all the people who've been submitted to our prayer

intentions list and I offer it in Thanksgiving for a pretty awesome wife who is willing to record these with me on her vacation.

A couple of days ago I opened up for you the interior landscape of the soul, the national

park of the soul, of the Soul.

And the greatest guide

is John of the Cross.

But almost no one knows or reads him because someone who's never read John told them he's too hard

to understand.

Or because they begin with the wrong book, The Assent of Mount Carmel, which emphasizes the sacrifices necessary

to reach the summit.

Reading your hearing, most are discouraged and quit but sacrifice is not the goal

transforming union with God which results in an infinite amount of

happiness and peace.

That is the goal.

So one should begin with John's book,
