dissect the evolution of the horror genre by looking at particular sub-genres one

series at a time. We are currently in the middle of our fifth series of the

podcast which explores the evolution of the occult in horror cinema. However, as it's

This is the sequel to Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.

Well, it's more actually kind of the sequel to Stephen King's The Shining,

but more on that later. So this episode, if you haven't seen

the movie, don't worry, this is going to be a completely spoiler-free discussion. Me and my

guest only talk about very, very, very minor plot points, but we mainly just

give our initial reactions to the movie and we talk a little bit about our relationship with

Mike Flanagan's movies, with Stephen King's books and with the original
