My name is Miranda and I'm here to vote.

This is my husband Rahid and this is our youngest son.

This is the baby, Khalil.

This is just, you know, historic.

This has never been done before.

They've never opened up like this stadiums and we're so really, you know,

just proud of the NBA and NFL.

It doesn't hurt that this is the home of the champions.

These are the Lakers here.

So we are big-time Lakers fans, and we really appreciate the Laker organization.

We're opening the doors and allowing us to do this.

So it's just a pleasure, and, you know, my wife wanted to come here

for the experience of it all. And that's all good. So we're here to support her and the nation.

In Los Angeles, voters are casting ballots at Staples Center and Dodgers Stadium and SoFi Stadium.

And in cities across the U.S., dozens more NBA, NFL, MLB, and other pro sports arenas are

voting centers as we speak.

It's unprecedented.

And it's what the NBA in particular fought for at the end

of summer when teams walked out of the playoffs and made the sports world hit pause.

Today, new Philadelphia 76ers coach, Doc Rivers, takes us behind the scenes to explain how getting

out the vote became the culmination of a year in sports unlike any other.
