And it is really surprising in some ways, like if you kind of thought about why Mike Boonholzer got fired,

that if you kind of ignored all of the other elements that Doc Rivers is the man who eventually replaces it

because many of the criticisms for Mike Boudenholzer

are also present for Doc Rivers,

even if they're general criticisms that the more specific nuances are different, but Mike Bootenholzer is a way better coach overall, like he's better at developing a system, better at tailoring said system to his talent. And so for Doc, I mean, he clearly has things that he does well. You've articulated, particularly that, you know, with short-handed teams, getting guys to buy in, getting them to be motivated, making that work is a real strength of his.

And there have been times with the short-handed sixers and the short-handed clippers where that worked really well.
