It's been, you know, 50 years for you calling games. And now you decided to hang it up. And you've had such

an illustrious career. And what goes into your decision making to finally say, all right,

it's time to do something different. And I can imagine the last year that you just had,

given everything that was going on

and the way hockey was and the, I guess, conditions

and obstacles that you had to deal with with calling games

and the way the league had to run was,

had to have been probably the most complicated one of your career, right?

Yeah, it was different in that you, you know,

I wound up calling games from home and NBC really preserved. Right. Yeah, it was different in that you, you know, I wound up calling games from home and NBC really preserved my life by enabling me to do that all the way through to the finals. So that was a wonderful blessing, knowing that I was going to be kept safe as much as I could keep safe at home and not really have to travel and being able to do that.

But I think, too, you know, so much of our tradition in sports is that you never leave your job

unless you're kicking and screaming.

And in my case, they preserved my health.
