Summary

In today's episode, we dive deeper into Pastor Joby's sermon on Matthew 7:15-29. How can you be sure you are saved? It's not by doing enough religious activity. Only through trusting in the finished work of Jesus can we have assurance. As Jesus closes out the Sermon on the Mount, He warns us about following false prophets or building our life on anything other than Him. We will only weather the storms of life when Jesus is the center and the bedrock on which we build. 0:10.7	And we're praying this message helps you deepen your relationship with him.
0:15.3	Now let's dive in.
0:17.5	Pastor Jobie, I feel like there was a burden that you were carrying tonight once.
0:22.9	Tell me about it.
0:25.2	Well, I mean, we're closing the sermon on the Mount,
0:30.8	and Jesus is talking to people that think they're going to heaven and they're not going to heaven.
0:37.9	And the burden is we all pastor a church.
0:43.4	And there are people that could show up and do a bunch of activities,
0:49.9	but they don't know Jesus as their Lord.
0:52.6	And so that's a really heavy burden.
0:56.9	And Jesus is warning them.
1:00.3	I mean, the illustration I used at the end was,
1:03.6	imagine if you were at the Twin Towers on September 10th.
1:07.6	What would you do, knowing what you know?
1:09.8	And Jesus knows all things. He sees the
1:12.9	end from the beginning. So he knows what the line in heaven looks like and the surprised people.
1:20.2	And he came from heaven to earth on a rescue mission to entreat people,
1:28.9	to not put their faith in their own activities,
1:32.6	but to build their life on the rock of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
1:37.6	That's the burden, man.
