What does it look like to love the Lord our God with all of our mind and all of our strength?

Is it purely intellect or is it also imagination?

Is it just the muscles he's given us or is it everything that he's gifted us?

Hello, hello, hello, ladies and gents and welcome to this week's episode of the

Bot and Beloved podcast. It's your host, Kirby Kelly, back at it again. And if you were here

for the part one episode where we dove into what it looks like to love the Lord, our God,

with all of our heart, and with all of our soul, then you are probably primed, ready, and prompted

for today's episode where we're going to be diving into the rest of that scripture in Mark,

where it talks about Jesus giving us the greatest command, which is to love the Lord or God

with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and also to love our neighbor as ourselves.

But we're going to be picking up

where we left off by diving into point number three, loving God with all of our mind. Here we go.

The third way that we are called to love the Lord our God is by loving him with all our mind.

And I find it interesting because this is not necessarily in the Shama prayer, but Jesus adds this part.

But I think it's important to recognize that this would have been understood.

I feel like even then in the Shema' prayer, knowing what the mind means.

Okay.

So the third thing Jesus mentions is the mind.

But what does that look like?

Does that mean like I need to
