0:25.0	What's the gospel? Well, technically, the word gospel just means good news.
0:28.0	But what's the good news that Jesus came to announce and to accomplish.
0:33.0	Is it the good news that Jesus is going to take me to heaven?
0:37.0	Is it the good news that he wants to be my personal Savior?
0:40.0	Is it the good news that with one sinner's prayer I can be set free from hell?
0:46.4	Jesus didn't hide the ball. He actually told us exactly what kind of good news he came to announce.
0:51.9	He said it again and again. What was it? Jesus came to announce
0:57.1	the gospel of the kingdom, the good news of the kingdom. Again and again, throughout the
1:02.3	gospel. I could just go a passage
1:03.6	after passage after passage. Jesus repeats this exact phrase the gospel of
1:08.6	the kingdom. The kingdom whatever that is it's at the heart of Jesus' central message.
1:15.0	It's at the heart of his own self-understanding.
1:17.0	It's at the heart of his practical work on Earth.
1:20.0	I've asked hundreds of people to explain the gospel to me and I can count on one hand how many people use the word that Jesus used most frequently with gospel.
1:28.8	Kingdom. No one ever talks about kingdom whenever he talked about the gospel, but Jesus couldn't talk about the
1:33.7	gospel without talking about the kingdom.
