Today is the day the Lord has made and these are the times to which God has decided we shall live.

What happens when you announce an audition to have someone run for Congress in the state of

New York? That happened. A woman replied and came in and auditioned to be a congresswoman. Her name is

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. What were the standards they used in that? Well, the top one was, are you camrogenic?

Does the camera like you? Can you read lines? Can you be emotionally convincing? In other words,

it was a lot like auditioning an actress. One of the funny things about actors and actresses,

if you ever meet some, some of them are relatively eloquent people.

Most of them are not. They're not the people you see on screen because there's no lines written out

for them. Now, this should be relatively obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people meet someone

like that and say, wow, they're super stupid. They didn't have anything to say. They couldn't relate at all,

right? Where went the charm? Well, the charm is manufactured. David Bowie said something really prescient and right about stage performance. He says, charisma is a trick. And Bowie knew what he was talking about because he tricked a lot of people into loving him. I'm not saying he was alovable guy, but those people didn't know him.

AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has tricked a lot of people into thinking she is something other than someone who auditions to be on camera. And we saw this past weekend, AOC in the art of
