All right. This is from Lexi in Norfolk. I've been having sharp pains in my heart,

0:08.2

and when I googled all the rest of my symptoms, I read something that this could be a gallbladder issue.

0:15.4

How could my heart be affected by my gallbladder? This doesn't even make sense. Is this possible? Okay, liver

0:24.6

makes bile all the time and it literally trickles down the tubes that lead into the small

0:32.1

intestines. But there's this little valve that's closed when you're not eating. What happens is the bile will back up and it drops into the gallbladder when you're not eating.

0:45.3

So it's just stored there and it's concentrated.

0:48.3

So when you do eat it, when you do eat any kind of fat, you know, a steak or fried food, as soon as you eat

0:58.5

those foods, it basically squeezes some bile out. And that valve opens up and then the bile

1:05.4

helps the digestion of all that fatty foods. And so sometimes the gallbladder concentrates it so much that it solidifies and it turns

1:19.4

into these little gallstones. And these gallstones could be literally the size of sand or it could be all

1:26.0

the way to the size of a golf ball.

1:28.4

And when that gallbladder tries to shoot out the bile, if there's stones in there,

1:34.5

the stones can get stuck in that neck of the gallbladder of the valve leading into the

1:40.5

intestines.

1:41.5

And that's where you'll get that pain.

1:46.7

And it's not really chest pain it's right underneath your chest um so it's not chest pain you're feeling it's just right underneath

1:53.2

it's actually kind of in that chest cavity so you know based on how big your gallstones are, so gallstones are like pearls.

2:03.5

So they can start small, but as they sit there, they can get bigger and bigger and bigger.

2:08.3

And so as soon as you eat some fatty food, boom, that gallbladder starts shooting out the bile

2:15.5

and that that stone can get stuck. And so if that's, depending on how

2:20.3

big the gallstones are, that's going to be the severity of the pain that's going to be shooting

2:25.9

into you. Hey, guys. Thank you so much for listening to this week's podcast preview. Now, don't go
