It's been an exciting month for me.

award circuit. It won the Lira Grand Prize for a book of the year and has been listed as a finalist

or semi-finalist in three other ongoing competitions,

which is undyingly cool all to itself.

But then I discovered this week that it also won a silver IPE award. I honestly wasn't even sure it would be allowed

in the fantasy genre it was interred in since it's as much historical as it is speculative.

So it's been very exciting to see it doing so well.

Now on the surface this idea is as true as it gets. We all have our strengths and our weaknesses.

We all have aspects of the craft, we're good at, and others we're still working on.
