Welcome to the Sistine Chapel and seeing the famous paintings on the ceiling, or if you've ever studied the paintings online, beyond the one that everyone knows where Adam and God are together and God is reaching out.

Their fingers are almost touching and Adam's about to come to life.

That's obviously a masterwork.

There's a bunch of other incredible stuff on the ceiling.

And one of the most interesting details

are these classically attired women

that are kind of dotted around the vault. And like every Michelangelo figure,

all people that Michelangelo painted were absolutely yoked. But this woman in particular looks

like juiced to the gills. This was before the invention of Tren, but she's obviously

foreseen it because she is the

Qumayan Sybil. And this is a character. If you think of Western history as like a long-running

sitcom, if you think of Western literature and the classics as kind of episodes in this giant TV

show, the Qumayan Sybil is one of those recurring characters, like Janus on Friends.

If you watch Friends, this is Chandler's like on again, off again, girlfriend.

And she always comes back and we all know her and she's got this hilarious voice.

And everyone, like the minute she comes in, we kind of know what sort of gags we're in for.
