Summary

Why are we so obsessed with status? What happens when our need to matter starts shaping how we treat others? And how can we break free from the pressure to prove ourselves? In today’s episode, Patrick shares how Luke 14:1–14 reveals that true security comes from God, and when we rest in that, we’re free to take the lowest seat and live without chasing approval. Read the Bible with us in 2026! This year, we’re exploring the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Download your reading plan now.
