Now, here's Graham.

The plan of God in sending Jesus was to restore everyone in the world to a wonderful,

amazing relationship with God.

Jesus himself would take the sin of the word

for all the world for all ages and generations

upon himself.

He would take away the sin, the curse of sin and the impact of sin on every human being. And he came to provide through his death and resurrection a totally new life in himself.

And God would provide a new and living way for his people to be loved by him. I love that, you know, the whole thing of to be known by him and to have encounters and experiences of his goodness

But to do that, he must remove all traces of our old life

and put us in a place where everything was new and powerful and beautiful in him.

And this was to be his gift to us a full salvation, not a partial one, complete release, total freedom from all sin and its effects.

And to do that, Jesus would lead a perfect life on our behalf, demonstrate the power of a new realm, and then die an agonizing death where all the filth and degradation of mankind would be poured into him.

And then he would be separated from God so that we wouldn't have to be.
