Hey guys, I wanted to answer the question, do women need more carbs on a keto and

0:26.7

intermittent fasting plan? This is a common question a lot of women have, because when

0:32.2

they eat carbs, they feel better. So naturally, they need carbs, right? It makes

0:37.7

total logical sense, because when they don't do carbs, they feel like crap. Let's

0:42.8

explain that. When the blood sugars drop down too low, when you do intermittent

0:49.9

fasting, especially, the first place for the body to notice it is in the brain.

0:56.1

Why? Because the brain doesn't store sugar. It gets its feel from the blood. If

1:07.7

brain is going to suffer. It's going to feel very funky. You're going to get

behind this blood sugar problem, because what happens, if insulin is not

1:39.6

working, it's not being absorbed, the cells send the signal back to the origin,

1:45.9

the pancreas, saying, you know what, we're not getting the message, we're not

1:50.4

getting that hormone. So then the pancreas makes the heck of a lot more. The

1:55.5

pancreas will make five to seven times more insulin than it should, okay? So

2:02.0

now we have a lot of insulin going on. Guess what? That's going to keep your

2:06.5

blood sugars, because insulin lowers blood sugar. It's going to push it down
