Today's tip is to make this be the year to do things you have said you have always wanted to do.

If you hear yourself saying you have always wanted to do something within reason, get it on the calendar.

There are many experiences that can be easily made a reality with a tiny bit of

planning and thought. As long-time listeners may know, I love miniatures. On the shelves in my office,

I have set up several miniature rooms, like in a dollhouse but without the house. Anytime I am near a museum with a

miniature's collection, I visit. Yet somehow it took me years to get to the Philadelphia

Ministers Show, which has held literally less than 45 minutes from where I live. I'm not sure

exactly why. I mean, for several years, I'd heard

myself saying things like, I'd love to go to the miniature show someday, but it was never

terribly convenient. Well, it wasn't convenient this year either. My flight home from Florida was

delayed on the last day of the show, so I almost missed it, but I decided to go for the last hour

it was open. And when I did, as you might imagine, I was just entranced. So many little things.

I wish it hadn't taken me so long to go, but I am glad I made it. I bet you can identify

things you have said you've always wanted to do as well. I've always

wanted to learn Spanish as something I hear a lot, or it's my dream to go to New Orleans for

Mardi Gras. I'm dying to try that new restaurant. Now, to be sure, there are some experiences that may
