What is up everyone? Welcome back to our final episode for now with Nicky and Dave of

Grow My Own Food.com. They focus on permaculture in smaller spaces and that's what we've talked about really over the course of this week is

Laying out some of the core philosophies and principles of permaculture and talking a little bit in depth about some of those, specifically like the layers of a food

forest or zones of use, things like this, and I think to wrap it up, it's a really nice button on

top, talking about the idea of just doing what you can with what you have.

I know a lot of people and I get so many messages it's crazy about, oh, I don't have plants yet.

I will once I have a home or I can't grow edibles I only have house plants and I will when I have a this and I'm like well you know

What do you have a kitchen window so well then you can have technically a garden with just a planter box or like some

mason jars filled with soil like that counts and that's if that's all you have

then then you might as well go with it and it seems like you guys very much think along the same lines in the

permaculture world. Yes we love that about you Kevin that you're thinking that

way in fact one of the challenges that we have for the people who are on our newsletter is a

plant your pantry challenge and yeah we run this like like we didn't do it

last year but we're hoping to do it next year where we challenge people

that take we tell them okay the plant your pantry item of the day is you know

had garlic and then we challenge them to plant it, take a picture of it and see what happens.

And there's so many things, I could go on and put this challenge on for more than a week because there's so many things in your pantry that you can chat, you can plan.

And that's one thing we love about permaculture is that it's, you don't have to go high-tech, hydroproponics with the whole system. You can do what you can with what you have and it

highlights a lot of low tech, low cost, DIY garden hacks in and among Permocultures implementation.

So when Gardeners first come up to us, one of the first questions to ask is,

so how much is this gardening project going to cost?
