I'd like to share something simple with you today that is obvious but easily overlooked.

And it's something I think that we can understand or appreciate when things get serious or maybe later in our lives.

1:39.5

Not because they're bad people or because people don't deserve kindness. But are you giving away sometimes

1:45.7

maybe the best parts of you or those reserves that you have for people who don't deserve it?

1:52.0

And like I said, they don't not deserve it because they're bad,

1:54.8

they just aren't as deserving as the people closest to you. I was listening to a friend of mine speak on a podcast recently and he said look

2:06.2

it's so funny to get your priorities wrong right to think that work is first so

2:11.5

this is first so that's first and then your family are like this distant seventh because they're permanent right they're not going to leave you

2:17.6

It can feel like opportunities come and go oh got to catch them. Oh, they're gonna drift away.. Oh, and family, hey, they're stuck with me, so they'll just take whatever I've got left. They'll get the crumbs of the table. Everyone else gets my best.

He really flipped it. He said, look, my family are my number one priority. When I even
