I am delighted to be joined by Ben Dominic, who is editor at large of the Spectators World Edition, of course.

And he is in Alexandria, around Washington, D.C., where a lot of things are going on, as ever, in the run-up to the Second Trump administration.

Ben, I thought I'd start by playing this video of Kamala Harris, which extraordinarily the Democrats released from their official Twitter handle, and the message went something like this.

I just have to remind you, don't you ever let anybody take your power from you?

You have the same power that you did before November 5th.

And you have the same purpose that you did before November 5th and you have the same purpose that you did and you have the same ability to engage and inspire so don't ever let anybody or any circumstance take

your power from you.

Well, I suppose the obvious question to ask is, what did you make of that, then?

I don't know if there's someone within the Democratic Party who just hates Kamala Harris as much.

I mean, look, there has been, obviously meme, a collective assumption on the part of social media in America that Kamala Harris is someone who has a tendency to drink too much.

And I do not want to, you know, convey any knowledge of that,

because I don't, I don't have any reporting. I don't have any, you know, particular, uh, insight into it. But the release of this video, frankly, is something that is astonishing.

I can't believe that a staffer actually pressed send on this video because it's, I mean, it's so awkward and it's so, it's so terrible. And and honestly the fact that she is going to be the

vice president of the United States for the next you know 55 days essentially uh and have this

kind of issue hanging over her head is a real problem my wife came to me last night because I had been out at a
