help you grow a greener thumb and today we're going to discuss a certain type of garden that I think many of us are familiar with,

some of us may have even been in and some of us may not like so much and that would of course be the community garden.

Now here where I live in San Diego, what's interesting about a community garden is the

weight list is extremely long.

We're talking three to five years, oftentimes the only way that you get a slot is by a previous owner passing

away or moving.

That's really the only reason they would give it up.

And so it can be kind of tricky to get in them.

But once you're in them, there's also a whole set of,

call it rules and regulations that you have to follow,

or you at least should highly consider following following unless you want to make your life a little bit more annoying.

Now I was in a community garden maybe six years ago and I swiftly left that and you may see why as we listen to this episode.

Of course now I have the ability to grow in my own yard which I will always favor

because I have complete control and I have complete freedom to do whatever I want.

So when you join a community garden, the thing that you have to remember is that there's typically a board and the board has a leader.

There's a leader of the community garden and there's a lot of sort of internal politics that can be happening in a community garden.

So when you join one, you just have to know that you're signing up not only to grow in a community

garden space, but also to interact and deal with all of the many personalities that are at the community

So what I would recommend is just don't do anything that is going to turn heads or raise eyebrows.
