Summary

Ohio State heads into its sixth game of the season on Saturday in the form of a road matchup against Purdue streaming exclusively on Peacock. Every game provides a chance for some element of the Buckeyes' team to prove itself and often you look at the roster to find such. But is there an argument to be made that no one has more to show than the coaches, especially those on offense as OSU tries to figure out how to improve a limited offensive line? Perhaps a trip to West Lafayette, Indiana, a place that has been known to be a death trap for Ohio State provides the perfect environment to do such before heading into a top-10 matchup next week. After a lofty discussion, Stephen again kicks Nathan and Andrew off the pod to bring in Tyler Shoemaker to discuss the best bets in a game where OSU is a 19-point favorite. Then Nathan and Andrew return as the two join Stephen in making their game picks. Lastly, Nathan takes us down memory lane of his days covering Purdue as the only one of the trio who covered the game the last time the Boilermakers hosted Ohio State in 2018. States wide receiver room going into this game against Purdue? So he didn't directly address

0:55.3

Buka's potential absence from, at least when I was, was there a talk to him? And I think it was the most,

most of the time. I don't know if that's necessary though. The way Ryan Day was talking about it earlier

1:04.0

this week saying when he emphasized this is not a long-term issue, I think that's his way of

1:09.3

telegraphing to us and to fans when you don't see him Saturday know that it is not a long-term issue.

1:14.7

It would seem very much to be trending towards something like what Trevor and Henderson did last week

1:20.4

and maybe worse than that. Maybe it won't be a situation where he could play and they just won't let him.

1:25.9

It sounds like it could be worse than that, but I would be very surprised if he played Saturday.

1:30.8

I don't see the upside for Ohio State if he does play relative to what you have to have against Penn State

1:39.0

just a week later. The Wisconsin game right after that. Those are just two big match-ups that you really need him for

1:46.2

and I don't think you need him to beat Purdue.

1:49.4

And so I would expect to see Xavier Johnson starting in the slot.

1:54.4

I would imagine. I tried to ask about Brandon Innis. He did say that Innis, he likes the development they're getting there.

2:02.2

He's coming along, could be, he kind of emphasized maybe an opportunity a punt return for him

2:07.4

over getting a lot of reps at slot receiver, but says that he is liking the development of slot receiver too.

2:13.7

I think that this will probably be as long as this game is in the balance.

2:16.9

It would be a pretty heavy Xavier Johnson game in the slot. Might be a more of a double tight, 12 personnel kind of game to write
