You got the curls popping. Hey! We both got the curls popping. What made you even decide to cut it off? We talked about the big chop. That's such a, it can be a spiritual journey when you chop your hair off or emotional. |
| 2:04.8 | Yeah. What made you even decide to cut it off? We talked about the big chop. That's such a, it can be a spiritual journey when you chop your hair off or emotional. Yes. What made you chop your hair off? I love it. And I love that you mentioned that because I don't think my expectation was for it to be so spiritual. Originally, I was like, hey, I'm going to cut it because a lot of people don't know I don't do wigs so I had sew-ins all of these ears and so it was just pulling pulling pulling damaging my hair and then when I don't have the sew-ins here doing braids it's the same thing it's kind of I know we call it protective styles but it's not so protective you're right you know so it was just kind of pulling my hair and I noticed that it was just damaged. |
| 2:34.7 | So I told my stylist, I said, after this, so I did the big curls for Women Evolve. So beautiful. Oh my gosh. Thank you. Stunning. Yeah, I loved it. I said, after this, I'm going to chop it. And she was like, all right, let's go for it because I wanted it to be healthy. So that was really the original thought behind it. |
| 2:50.7 | But after cutting it, I was just telling some of my friends, like, I feel exposed, but it's in a great way. Like, you see me. Yes. Like, almost like I had been hiding. I was talking to Priscilla Shire called me, and she was like, girl, your hair is amazing. I was like, you know, just pray for me in this place where I feel like um something is being revealed and it may not be for everybody but I feel |
| 3:11.3 | like you know all the years of hiding behind the hair hiding behind this and that now I'm in |
| 3:16.0 | this space where hey this is me take it or leave it so that's it's been a really good spiritual |
| 3:21.3 | journey yes I love it I see a face so that that's all the matters okay that journey. Yes. I love that. And my husband loves it. And that's all the matters, okay? That's all that matters. I love that. But I love how I can see your beautiful face. And I asked you, I was like, how many compliments? Have you got to do like a lot? Yeah, yeah. Because all the times we don't realize how we hide, we do, not intentionally, but we hide behind our hair and um we don't realize when we reveal |
