Hi, Dr Laura, I appreciate you taking my call.

I have a question about whether I'm going to do the right thing or not. I'm a mother of three, my youngest

is still in the home. He's a junior in high school, 17 years old. I have stayed home with all three of my kids and

have just recently got my substitute teaching license. We live in a small town and there's a real need for

substitute teachers and our high school and junior high is all one building and then

we have an elementary school so we have two school

buildings. My son has asked me if I would not substitute in his building at the high school.

Well, you can always, what's the problem with substituting in the other building?

No, and I can. And I can. I guess I'm torn between, okay, do I, am I to be

understanding of his situation or do I, is this a teaching moment to say hey there's a need

here in town and there's a need in the other building too right right so that argument just got blown out of the water. Okay. So I'm not giving him the

rains by saying, sure sure I will stay out of the building that you're in and

giving him the reins to what what does he now have the reins to?

Well I yeah I don't know.

I just, I, I didn't like him to be a dictator.

If you're going to be a teacher, you have to be responsible for what you say.

So you said, giving him the reins. You can't say I don't know what I'm talking about.

You're going to be a teacher. So what rates?
