This is now the third longest government shutdown in U.S. history, 20 days today. It's already the

longest full government shutdown ever. The 2018, 2019 shutdown was partial, but that was 35 days.

The 95-96 bending impasse, also partial was 21 days.

The House has now been at a session for more than a month. The last vote was September 19th.

That was the day they voted on the CR. And that's stunning for a conference that has bragged

about its work ethic. And House committees, this is what I've been thinking about the last couple days,
