forwards a lot of guys to talk about a lot of new guys a lot of returning guys a lot of big guys a lot of small guys

Little bit of everything the conversation starts though with the battle for the four C spot.

I think we've all kind of come to our conclusion at this point in the preseason

that it's probably Freddie Oliveson that is getting first crack at that job.

Is he ready?

But I think if you're, if you're him, it's a dream job. You know what I mean? It is. It is an honor to be behind those quality centers and to bring that element of, you know, being trusted to be the fourth line guy. We all know that a fourth line is very important if you want to go deep in the playoffs and just look at Vegas last year. So I do believe he's ready for it. I do believe it was a great pickup. And I do believe they had targeted him obviously beforehand by going to get him. And, you know, I think that's his job to lose right now. I would agree. And this isn't to take anything away. I have zero doubt,

Ben Myers. We'll get into plenty of games this year. Megan, what's it going to take for either of

these guys to earn a full-time spot in the NHL? Building trust with Jared Bednar specifically.

And that's not the easiest thing to do. It is not. It took Logan O'Connor even. He's been hurt before.

Time. He's been hurt before. It even took Logan O'Connor. Like Logan O'Connor's ascension to the

NHL and becoming a full-time NHL player required building trust over time. And it meant to not getting a full NHL-length season

out the gate. And so I think Freddie Oliveson is in similar territory because I think the

responsibilities of the fourth line center are even heightened. And the entirety of the fourth line

is intended to play very responsibly. And so there's very little room for

mistakes to be made. I think there's going to be some allowances granted because Freddie Olifson is

also just joining the abs learning a little bit more about how they like to play. I think he's a very

natural fit for how Colorado wants to play. But there is going to be a learning curve, too, and how they like to defend is going to be something that he's going to especially have to incorporate in his game pretty immediately is where I'm going with this.

And so the sooner he can do that and also find ways, this feels like a very tall order,
