Are the Democrats getting their act together?

Hello again, I'm Aron Alney, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International.

Democrats heard a brief message late last night from the first woman nominated for president by a major political party.

We just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet.

Earlier, there were sound effects of a different kind.

The best darn changemaker I have ever known.

But Republicans claim Hillary Clinton would be more of the same, a third term for Barack

Obama, who will address the convention tonight. She's the only way to preserve much of Obama's

legacy which Donald Trump wants to reverse, just as Obama overrode George W. Bush. We'll also

hear charges that Donald Trump is encouraging Russian espionage.
