Brad Binkley our top story, why the feds should not be in Portland. I have had this question from every direction, libertarians,

conservatives, I'm not even going to address the liberal side of it

because really this goes to the fundamental questions

of the origin of property rights, the right to self-defense,

the limitations of property rights.

I've given it a lot of thought and I want to just lay out why I do not think the feds should be in Portland.

I'm going to put aside the question that they're using which the protesters are playing right into and the federal government

is playing right into which is they are there simply defending federal property

as per the exception to posse commentatist or the Constitution or

whatever. That is not the extent of their involvement and it's not the extent of

the discussion and it's not the extent of what Barr and Trump have said they want to do.

They're talking about crime, lawlessness.

The question goes to if the state and local government has abdicated its duty

to police the area to protect people and property and I'm not saying they have that

duty I'm not even going to go there but the argument is if they have abdicated that duty, should you send the feds in?

And I say no.

And I'll tell you why.

First of all, I always do two things when faced with a question about what government should or should not do or what level of government.
