0:33.1	Number one, I feel like it's the Democrats, the way the GOP works, and this is what I've
0:39.2	always objected to, they just split the difference.
0:42.6	They're all the big compromises work together anytime there's something
0:45.4	bipartisan it's always moving away from liberty and towards the Democrats.
0:50.7	So if the Democrats move the center by making the most radical possible
0:58.0	proposal, GOP will just meet them halfway. So I feel like by encouraging this idea that the police
1:05.0	would just go away entirely, they're getting the GOP to pivot to some of their
1:11.4	initiatives. I don't, the initiatives that the GOP wants to
1:14.4	embrace doesn't they don't seem bad to me that it's Tim Scott of course they get the only
1:19.6	black Senate Republican to leave the charge on this. Fair enough. He said or the article
1:26.1	explaining it in the journal is that the GOP proposal would collect more data
1:30.6	from police departments about when force is used.
1:33.0	I think that's consistent with the Democrats.
1:36.0	Increase the use of body cameras, of course.
1:38.9	Implement new training to de-escalate tense situations and other measures.
