Today we are going to learn about how doppelgangers can share similar DNA,

discovering a lost lineage in Indonesia, and recent advancements in finding out what causes

Alzheimer's.

Without further ado, let's satisfy some curiosity.

Okay, you know how people in our lives have a tendency to come up to us and tell us how much we look like somebody else they know?

Yeah, it's definitely happened to me several times, but I gotta say like nine times out of ten

it's just another skinny white guy with facial hair that doesn't actually look like me

it doesn't stop people from saying we could be brothers though.

Well, it's funny you brought that up because a recent study has shown that people who have strong facial similarity have remarkably similar DNA.

So similar in fact that it's actually shocking if they're not related.

All right, how they figure that one out?

So for a bit of background, a Canadian artist started a photography project where he took photos of people with their unrelated

doppelgangers and posted them on social media. This caused scientists to wonder

about the genetic relationship between people who are look-alikes but don't share

any blood relation.

All right and when you say look-alikes, how do you even measure that?

Well, to be considered for this project, the Duos have to have incredibly similar features.
