Okay. I was on a ledge about the jump.

We was doing some promotion for Down with the King album, I believe.

It was in Europe somewhere.

We had to do a photo shoot.

We finished the photo shoot. We go back down in our rooms and Eric goes to everybody.

Yo, be in the lobby, 6.30 for sound check. He was a routine. I'm saying. It's like 1 o'clock now.

So that's all free time. I wait till everybody going in room. I look out the hallway. Nobody's there.

Because I knew if I don't do it now,

they're going to come lock the door so nobody goes to the roof

because the door was open.

So I'll run back up to the roof and I get up on the ledge.

I'm on the ledge about to jump.

And a couple of things went on to me that said okay the reason why I shouldn't jump

is if I jump and don't die this going to hurt right but if I don't jump this feeling

that doesn't hurt like it hurt if I break my back is way worse than any physical pain run DMc is one of the greatest rap groups of all time definitely

one of the most important they're hip-hop's first superstars but dmc despite all the success and all the

money for many years he was a mess he was an alcoholic he was depressed and he was suicidal. Today, thanks to therapy

and reflection, he's sober and happy to be alive, but we're going to dig into his difficult years
