Penguins 3, Rangers Zero, and a really chill room down there afterwards. There wasn't any, like, big, whooping it up or whatever. These guys were just, they realized that they played the way they can play. Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't say it was a super dominant win. Like, there's still some things they could definitely work on, so I don't think they're taking very many victory laughs at this point. But, yeah, it's a good way to start this season, but really nothing more than that.

Yeah, and you've got to start somewhere.

And you're going to start on the road.

You're going to start under the lights.

You're going to start under the great big Tupperware lid here and on ESPN and all that other stuff.

You might as well come out and play your brand of hockey.

Nobody saw more of training camp in the preseason

in person than you did. Did this look a lot like what you saw in all of those practices and

drills and everything else? Everybody staying as tight as they were. Yeah, I mean, it's hard because

they really did use their preseason as an opportunity to see all those young guys. They really only had, like, what, two games where the NHL players played. But even, you know, when it was the death guys and the prospects, that was a much tighter team, very tight defensively. Something I said during the preseason is that, like, it's too bad. We haven't seen a whole lot of what the young goaltenders can do because they've been so good defensively. And we did see some of that here tonight. I mean, Shiloh's was good, but he also wasn't tested that heavily.

They were like ricocheting off of him and then going into bad places. Third period, not the case. Second period, I thought,

I thought he really kind of cleaned it up here, and it was a well-earned. By the way, his first career, NHL shutout. First in the regular season, second career shutout. He had a shutout in the playoffs when he had to takeover for Vancouver. Now, I think that was kind of the trend with a lot of guys where maybe they didn't start out so strong but then as the game went on

Brunuch especially if we're going to talk about the young guys, Brunick was someone who maybe was a little shaky, and I'm not even talking about the penalty a minute into the game. No, that was lame. That was just not a good call. That wasn't anything. He wasn't too upset about that afterwards, because I think he knows it was a bad call. But no, I think he's someone that really got better as the game went on.

He really didn't need a ten of ice time in the second period, I think because he was kind of struggling and to adjust and whatever. But yeah, he, by the third period, was it a perfect debut, no, but for a 19-year-old and then in Kendall's case, an 18-year-old making their debut, MSG. Not much more you can ask for it.

I thought it was good I mean there's a lot of you know times I think we're heading the D zone a little bit

and just kind of you know figuring that out you know making sure I have my guy stuff like that but

I think I did a good job of limiting you know guys getting to the net and chances you know, making sure I have my guys, stuff like that. But I think I did a good job of limiting,
