Hey guys, welcome to double shot of Steelers.

I'm Dan Kovachovic of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports, joined by our beat reporter, Chris Halleck over there.

Another big week. I arguably the biggest week of the Steelers preparation this stage of

the offseason with mandatory mini camp. It's the one time everybody can call the shots that they

want to call because you're supposed to listen since it's in the contract and it's in the labor

agreement. Next week there are OTAs, but as Chris and I have been telling you for a while here,

those are going to be a lot lighter in terms of the bigger names, the starters, and so forth.

They want to get a look at other guys.

But generally speaking here, Chris, when I look at, in particular this past week and bringing this team together,

and it's almost a loaded question here.

It's going to sound like it's a criticism of the fan base.

And there's just really, there can't be any such thing.

Fans are going to feel how they want to feel.

They're not wrong.

Whatever they feel a certain way. Okay. It's just, it's the whole customer is always

right concept. I don't, I don't sense a whole lot of excitement about this team. And maybe it's

because you and I are a little bit too close to that world that you're in there and

you see some of these names and faces and you see little things like, here's Deshaun

Elliot and Jaquan Brisker, both playing strong safety, I think, depending on how things shake

out. And I go, wow, I mean, that's actually really cool. That's an upgrade over last season.

And every time one of those things happen, I get a little bit more eager to see how this is going to play out.

I don't sense that from the outside. Do you?
