The afternoon, welcome to double shot of Steelers, where apparently we're going to be having a candlelight vigil in honor of Rock Taylor's short and uneventful Steelers career.

Thanks for watching everyone. Poor Rock Taylor being unfairly and undeservedly, I might add,

designated the summer superstar for presumably no reason other than that he has the very cool first

name, R.O.C. Because I can't think of what else it could be after having watched him in camp.

He's just not that great. Hi. I'm Dan Kovachovich of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports, soon to be joined by Chris Halleck,

not only on this program, but also on our flight together to Charlotte, North Carolina,

where the Steelers will conclude their preseason.

Tomorrow night at Bank of America Stadium, it promises to be, well, let's just say it's going to be potentially an unusual event.

It's not going to be necessarily the normal Steelers versus Panthers in August,

which you can pretty much discard as just totally irrelevant.

And here's why I say that.

Early this week, whoever the heck Carolina is is, and I can't really, they change

all the time. I don't even know who the guy is anymore. He told reporters in Charlotte that

the Panthers were not having anybody play. They're not having any of their starters play.

This despite the Panthers getting smoked, not just on the scoreboard by combined 50 to 13

through their first two games. Those were against the Browns and the Texans, but also just

really not looking good. I mean, their first team guys.

And he even acknowledged that.

He said one of the things that's great about this is that we have an opportunity to work on this and fix this.

This is the way the guy talked.
