I'm Dan Kovach of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports.

Today was the third and final day of week one of OTAs.

These things get all kinds of labels.

And yet to the naked eye, they don't look or sound or feel any different.

When you have a week of OTAs and then you have another week of OTAs and then you have the mandatory mini camp,

which used to just be

mini-camp, but now they stamp mandatory in front of it so that you can tell the difference

between the voluntary and the mandatory stuff. The activities are all the same. The intensity

of the activities are all the same.

And not going to lie to you here, one of the things that ends up feeling more prevalent

than anything else at these things is you've got a lot of time to think.

You're watching stuff, you're being careful and everything, but you've got a lot of time to think.

One of the things that I think about,

boy, is this general,

is whether or not this team's good.

Or as Larry David would say on Kirby or enthusiasm,

pretty, pretty good. How is that? I do

all right with that one? It was pretty, pretty good. Okay. Whether or not this team is

even that good, it's hard to say.

Mostly because of the quarterback situation, I think everybody's going to back off of it for the same reason that you see betters absolutely flipping out whenever a quarterback goes down on a game week. All the odds change.
