It's not easy to do these days.

But hear me out before you go freaking out in all capital letters and going to Facebooking me.

Just when he stands there in front of us,

when he is answering questions formally,

he isn't in a spot to just be completely honest.

We can all agree on that, right?

So when he's asked today at his press conference,

do you plan on schematic changes,

he can answer that any which way he wants

and fairly not be accused of lying.

Because even the teams, even Tomlin's most ardent critics will agree that he's got

nothing to gain.

The Steelers have nothing to gain by him coming out and saying, oh, yeah, we're changing

everything because the follow-up question then becomes, oh, yeah, we're changing everything because the follow-up question

then becomes, oh, yeah, coach, what are you going to change?

Well, as long as I'm doing the Jim Carrey liar-lier thing, I'm going to tell you all my schemes

and everything else and just wait until we get stuck in an elevator together.

He's got nothing to benefit from this, and neither does a team.
