I'm not one to jump on every time a former player says something about the Steelers.

I'm making an exception today, not just because it was Debo.

This is a new double shot show.

And if you haven't heard what James Harrison had to say earlier today in doing an interview with Willie Cologne, one of his former teammates, and another guy who very,

very much fit into that whole vocal leader style of football. Willie's responsibility was

obviously the other side of the ball. This is part of what Debo had to say today as it relates to the

Steelers season ending in a terribly similar fashion this year. That something needs to be done.

We got to get better with the players. We got to get better with the coaching. It's not

what you're used to. The standard is the standard. It feels like a saying now. It's not something

that you actually see. Hang on. If I'm the head coach of a football team, and I've been the head coach of this football team

for however long that's been, and now the team's not doing well, that all has to all fall on my

shoulders because I've been here long enough to be able to draft who I want and put the guys

in the positions that I need. And for me to be like,

well, I haven't been getting this or that. Well, I'm the guy who's supposed to be getting that.

And I've been here long enough to get it. Yeesh. Now, if it wasn't Debo, you'd be like,

as it is, because it's him, you go, well, yeah, that's something I would expect him to say.

Now, this one gets a little bit of an asterisk, too.

Debo has been, I can tell you this unequivocally, pretty much banging down the doors on Southwater Street to try to get a coaching job there.

Now, you would think that going public with criticizing the head coach, not only for his coaching, but also for his acquisition of players, and, oh, by the way, the entire culture,
