I'm joined remotely by Jose Neger on our beat reporter covering your Pittsburgh baseball club that has its 145th home opener tomorrow.

And it turns out it'll be even more special than anyone, well, almost anyone had anticipated, won't it, Jose?

It sure will. I think this kind of takes it to a whole other level with Connor Griffin being called up.

He will make his major league debut against the Baltimore Orioles at PNC Park in front of the home crowd.

He kind of felt like there was a sense of excitement. There's always a sense of excitement for the home opener but now it's uh

it's definitely taken to a whole another level when you have a guy like connor griffin who isn't your

typical 19 year old prospects um you know we saw it during spring training obviously short sample of

five whole games at AAA Indianapolis.

But they went well, though.

Made his mark, and now we'll get to see what he's able to do as a major league.

Correct.

Yeah, yeah.

What really good five game sample that he was able to put together,

and now he's going to be able to see what he can do in the major leagues.

Now, my first thought, and I'm talking about reflexive upon seeing their little tweet with

the Griffin hat reveal and everything was, oh, they knew this the whole time.

They had to have.

There's no way they just saw Griffin play, what did you say, five games for Indy?

Yeah.
