Hey guys, welcome to double shot of Pirates.

I'm Day on Kovach of each of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports.

Pirates versus Cardinals in St. Louis tonight,

a chance to get back at least 25% of the damage done while they were in Pittsburgh.

I still have, of all the stuff that's happened this season, predictable and otherwise,

that's the one that just jumps off the page.

Cardinals aren't that good.

I know I said that back then and everybody got mad.

You're going to see, by season's end, barring some significant moves by St. Louis management,

and they're actually the types to make significant moves. This version of their roster isn't going to go very far.

But that didn't matter when they were here a month ago and they took four straight.

Tonight Mitch Keller tries to get that straightened out or at least begin to get that

straightened out.

And you want to know something from a purely symbolic standpoint?

That would be kind of okay.

Because the series that the Pirates just had here, that did come against a markedly superior opponent in the Phillies.

And you need to shake that off in some significant way.

And the best way to do that, I think in baseball,

and anyone will tell you this that's in the game,

make sure you're shaking hands at the end of the night.

Make sure you're doing the little high fives by the mound.

It's things need to turn around for these guys in a big hurry.
