About the Kyle Dubus Press conference and what we think is going to come of it this summer.

I've mentioned to you several times this week already that there were so much ground that was covered there.

But there's no ground that's ever covered satisfactorily enough compared to the future prognostications that he seemed to

suggest in that session. Now, I have a little bit of an embarrassing admission for you. When you're

doing a press conference as a reporter, yes, you're thinking about what questions you're going to

ask. That's just normal. It's what you're there for. And you don't always listen as carefully

as you should. I think this is true in life as well.

None of us are particularly adept listeners. You know, maybe some people more than others,

but for the most part, we're thinking about the next thing we're going to say, right?

And as he was going on his thing about how Pittsburgh would be a wonderful place to come and play hockey,

you can look and see the impact that our coaching staff has had on making players better.

And if you're one of those players who has a say in his situation, say in his mid-20s or whatever,

this would be a great destination.

I am like this. Okay. And somewhere in my head, I'm thinking about Cruz Lucius. If you don't even know who that is, you're to be forgiven for this.

He's a prospect that came, or supposed to come, in the Jake Gensel trade, part of the deal.

But Lucius, when he got done with college, told the Penguins no.

He's going to become a college free agent.

This very clearly burned Dubas to the point where he actually said something publicly in defense of the organization and the franchise and, you know, we respect everybody's right to choose where they want, but they definitely should have chosen us.
