My name is Chris Hallek.

And joining me from the site, or at least the same city of a pretty impressive hockey game last night,

at least from the perspective of the black and gold, is D.K. out in Denver.

It's having to two. What the heck?

It's not just the score.

It's, if you think about it, one of the things that was coming up a lot after the game in that setting was that you could blame.

And this was actually Jared Bednar, the Colorado coach said afterward,

there's probably going to be a lot of people talking

about the goaltending. He goes, this wasn't about the goaltending. This is, we were giving up grade

A chances. This is from their perspective, obviously. And, you know, they finished them, and they

never stopped playing the same way. This was Bednar talking about the penguins.

There's high praise in this business, and then there's having the avalanche look up to you.

And then there's having in the second period the avalanche, and I don't say this with any lack of admiration for what they've achieved

or what they could still achieve this spring and summer, but the avalanche quit.

When Russ, when Brian Russ scored the Penguin's sixth goal, they just, Chris, they just closed shot. Yeah, they were done. You could tell.

You could see it. The crowd could feel it. And you're thinking, this is nuts. This was their most

lopsided loss of the season. This was, you checked every box. Now, does it happen to everybody? Sure.

Did the penguins make it happen? Yes, because those guys came out flying. They were really put off

by the way they've played the last couple of weeks in particular just before this, a game up in

Winnipeg. They lost to one and they just they were like oh here we go here we go here
