I'm Dan Kovach, which of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports, and this is Daily Shot of Steelers. It comes

your way bright and early every weekday. If you're into hockey and or baseball, I also offer

you'll take the time to check those out as well. July 23 is the date that all players are required to report to St. Vincent

College for training camp. The first actual practice comes the following day, the closest thing

that there is to actual football on reporting date being the run test.

We've spent a lot of time here, especially in recent weeks, going over individual players,

individual positions. I would normally say individual battles, except that I just don't see this camp materializing that

way, at least not anymore. Certainly not with the acquisitions of Jalen Ramsey and John

Hugh Smith. But if you want to know where an actual challenge is going to be put forth,

and I don't know that that has to come from Mike Tomlin or any team

leadership or anything. It's just going to happen. That's that these guys have to get it together.

They have to become a team. Now go right ahead and roll your eyes at the intangible. There's no

hot takes in this. There'sangible. There's no hot takes in this.

There's no speculation.

There's no pretending that there's going to be some kind of issue in getting T.J. Watt signed just for the sake of stirring up discussion and debate and engagement.
