Look, the offense hasn't been like really, really bad.

It hasn't been brutal.

It hasn't been.

I'm Dan Kovachovich of D.K. Pittsburgh Sports.

This is Daily Shot of Steelers.

And it was the first day in pads at training camp.

It was physical.

It was, you could see it written all over the athletes' faces, challenging.

And it was a slog for the offense,

with the notable and noteworthy exception of winning the seven shots drill early by a four-to-three count when Aaron Rogers made a gorgeous touch pass to D.K. Metcalfe who ran a

precision route in the back of the end zone. Most of what would be seen on the afternoon

were the defenders. They were the ones wearing yellow, spending way too much time in the

offense. Those were the guys wearing white, the offensive backfield.

And that in turn blew up pretty much everything. So whether it was Rogers getting rushed out of the

pocket, which you really don't want to see, or Mason Rudolph getting what passes for a sack in these drills.
