I'm going to take you through some information that I picked up about how that season is likely to go for the rest of the

big breaking news. Mason Rudolph isn't going anywhere.

I mean, I say that in advance of, you know, he could have a worst summer of his life or whatever, but he's

very much part of this plan that the Steelers have for 2026.

To condense what I was told in the simplest of bites here, they're not going to have

Rogers back at his age and with everything that he represents in the positive sense,

meaning that, you know, you're going for it that year. You have to be

going for it that year. You'd have no cause to sign him. You're not going to do that and then

throw him out there with two, not one, but two youngsters who have yet to take a single snap in

anger, even in a preseason game.

As a result, the plan is that Rudolph is the backup.

Continuing here, Howard, as was confirmed by everyone of note yesterday, has in fact been

bumped up to the number two quarterback for these OTAs.

He's going to stay at number two, even going into La Trobe.

But the reason for that isn't that he's leapfrogged Rudolph.
