is bringing Mason Rudolph back the right move?

I reported exclusively yesterday that Omar Khan reached out to Rudolph and his

representation yesterday. I'll have a little more to add on that in this show today,

but the bigger issue is the bigger scope.

as I'm speaking with you, shortly before sunrise here in downtown Pittsburgh.

But the indications that I received in addition to the information

about the Steelers reaching out to Rudolph is that when this comes together,

it'll all come together.

And when this comes together, as it's currently set up, will be up to Aaron Rogers.

The only other name that was mentioned to me in this conversation.

The way the Steelers see this, as I was told, they can operate with Rogers as a one, with Rudolph as a clear and distinct

two, albeit with the understanding that the one is going to be 42 years old before long and

probably won't be cemented into anyone's projections as a 17-game starter. And from there, the number three can be a younger guy, a project, somebody that you really

like in a later round of the draft, or maybe that you pluck from some other team via trade,

but something that at least puts someone, anyone, in line toward the franchise's future. And as I think we all can agree,
