We are 17 days away from the football world descending on our city.

And while the excitement around that is exactly what you'd expect in the birthplace of professional football,

try to picture the excitement if, and I issue this

challenge purely in a hypothetical context, if they were picking a quarterback.

And I don't mean day three, even day two.

You take a day two quarterback, second round or third round, or you get yourself, I don't know,

Ty Simpson probably won't fall that far.

Drew Aller might not even be around, whatever.

Whoever it would happen to me, if it were a quarterback, there'd be delirium.

I mean outright delirium around here. But even then,

even then, you'd have to be wondering if they'd intend for that to be the guy, any more than

they'd intended for Will Howard in the sixth round last spring to beat that guy.

Why?
