Metcalf's stats for 2025 saw first and foremost 99 targets that was a career low.

I'm going to read you his other six NFL season totals for targets to see that it wasn't that much of an anomaly.

100, 129, 121, 141, 119, 108.

So, yeah, it's a drop to 99, but it's kind of who he is.

Same goes for the catches.

The same goes for the yardage.

In 2025, it was 59 catches for 850 yards.

For those of us spoiled, at least in the football sense,

several years of watching Antonio Brown do everything,

meaning make the big plays and execute all kinds of volume, this is not going to be enough. So I get it. I absolutely get it,

why it feels like, bigger part of the fan base, is down on Metcalf, even having nothing to do

with the idiocy that took place that day in Detroit. And by idiocy, I'm principally referring to the

idiot with the blue hair. If that had never happened, if Metcalf had never made the mistake

of leaving that sideline to engage with

that guy, my belief is that his season would have been perceived by most as a disappointment.

Well, I'm not an exception to that. In fact, I'm probably one of a long list that at the time

Metcalf was acquired, and you'll remember that was a really, really,

really big super cosmic ultra wow kind of move at the time it occurred.

I probably wasn't the only one that was looking at his stats from six years in Seattle and saying, well, geez, I mean, if you just get

the targets up a little bit, I mean, he can really be something. So in turn, whenever I saw that
